From SketchUp to real life

Whenever I plan to build a piece of furniture for my home I always start by building a model in SketchUp. By doing so I can foresee any issues with the build and also get an accurate dimension for all of the pieces that I will need.

On one such occasion, I’ve made a model out of a side table cabinet for my son’s room and I’ve made a tutorial for it on my YouTube channel.

Now, I’ve built that side table out of melamine and I’ve made a video as well so you can see both of the processes, from design to making the furniture piece.
