Repairing LED bulbs is not really worth my time but I'm always intrigued by the bulb construction and the failure that happened so when I have the time I at least try to repair them.

Exactly that was the case with these two light bulbs that came from my father that he complained: "failed with a bang".

You can see the exploration and repair attempt video below, but the capacitors were so badly constructed that instead of venting, they blew off the metal cover entirely and blew off most of the LEDs as well.
